9-10a Yoga - Morgan

Expect to get warm, get relaxed, have fun and leave with your spine a little taller. Yoga mat suggested.
10-11a Handstands - Nicolo
$20
This one hour workshop will focus on mastering a handstand with good alignment, as well as training tips for future improvement.
All ages and abilities are welcome, however please be prepared to focus and work hard, as well as know your own limitations. If
you're not used to doing handstands for long periods of time you may have to listen to your body and be prepared to take it easy.
11a-12:30p Beginning/ Intermediate Poi - Zan
$30
You will love this class. The two emphases will be on 1) moves that are easy to do, look great, and allow for freedom of body
movement, and 2) important and often overlooked secrets of poi practice, spinning, and performance. You will get lots of information
that you can practice with long after the class has ended. Bring your poi.
1:30-3p Beginning/Intermediate Double Staff - Zan
$30
We'll learn to understand the basic pieces of double staff with both our bodies and our minds: One-beats, timing and direction,
isolations, tosses and catches, and anti-spin. Then we'll combine the techniques we've learned into patterns that both challenge and
amaze us. Double staff is cutting edge, and fun fun fun, so don't wait to get started! Bring your staves, or play with some of those
provided.
Come learn how to walk tall! We'll provide the stilts and the guidance you need to get your balance with your feet off the ground!
No experience necessary. Please wear sturdy shoes, and bring knee pads if you have some. Long pants and socks recommended. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
5-6:30p Hooping - Brandon

Learn some new tricks and ways of interacting with your hoop that is sure to dazzle your friends! Play with the hoops available,
or bring your own.

Come join us to balance and climb on your friends! Develop trust, connection and playfulness while you learn how to share weight
with others. All skill levels welcome, no experience necessary. Come with a partner, or meet one at the workshop. Come with a partner, or meet one at the workshop.

11:30a-1p Intermediate/Advanced Poi - Zan
$30
You, who are advancing in poi quickly, will glimpse a whole new world. You, who think you're too good for classes, will have your
world rocked. Come learn about new techniques that open a deeper level of control for poi and your body. Flowers beyond basics, linear
motion, ellipses, and elliptical flowers. Break 1 orbit into pieces, applying different techniques to each and achieving surprising
results. Your poi need this, they're begging you to come play. Bring your poi. Not recommended for children.
1:30-3:30p Red Nose Clown - Sarah
$35
Explore what is funny about you - how to create an eccentric, humorous character by using and exaggerating your own attributes.
Find funniness and learn how to create material through honest, dynamic play. Ages 8 and up.

Instructor Biographies:
Morgan has been teaching movement classes for years, including gymnastics, Capoeira, circus arts and Yoga to children and adults.
She got her Yoga teaching certificate last year from the Lotus Seed School here in Portland. She is also a certified Circus Yoga teacher,
a practice thats geared towards the whole family. Her vinyasa inspired classes are energetic yet calming.

Nicolo Kehrwald is a performer and acrobat. He has been working professionally with Do Jump! Theatre for the past
seven years. He has studied handbalancing (handstands) with former Cirque du Soleil performer Cory Tabino and Russian master Yury Bozyan.

Zan has performed and taught in a dozen countries, and across the United States. He is the man behind the
The Encyclo-Poi-dia instructional DVD, has the #1 watched YouTube poi video, and is renown for his extensive knowledge of the theory and dance of
poi and staff spinning. He co-founded the performance group Instruments Of The Now.

shireen has pursued her lifelong interest in movement arts through training in yoga, dance, circus arts and aerial
dance. Known for her clear method of instruction in the DVDs Poi Spinning Basics and Poi Spinning: Focus on Transitions, she has also taught
circus to all ages at festivals and to kids in local schools and at Do Jump! Physical Theatre. Flamebuoyant Productions.

Kricket Caffery teaches and trains in trapeze and partner acrobatics primarily at DoJump!
Physical Theater. She performs with the Girl Circus as Oregon Country Fair and various festivals throughout the West Coast.

Sarah Liane Foster has been creating and performing clown shows around Portland and the world
for the past four years. A graduate of the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, her approach to the world of clown is individual,
specific, physical and character-based. In Portland she works with the Nomadic Theatre Co.Check out their new
clown show "Running Into Walls" at Theater! Theatre! in April!
